An angler on a boat arches back, laughing, as he reels a fish out of the water

A fishing competition day, start to finish

  1. Set your club's rules

Points per fish, target species, minimum sizes, a bonus for the longest of each species, attendance points, boat averages. If your club scores it on a spreadsheet today, it can score it here.

  2. Anglers scan and log

Put the QR code on the weigh station or in the club chat. Anglers pick their name and boat, take a photo on the mat and send. No app or account. No signal at sea? It sends when they're back in range.

  3. Judge, and the board moves

Weighmasters check each photo against the day's code word and approve it. The leaderboard and season table update straight away, for the club and for anyone you share the link with.

Fishing club software, explained

More answers in help and the how-to guides.

What does fishing club software do?

It replaces the spreadsheets, paper cards and member lists a committee juggles. In Tinnieo you keep your members and renewals, set up competitions with your own scoring rules, let anglers log catches on their phones, and show a live leaderboard and season table.

Can anglers score a fishing competition on their phone?

Yes. They scan the competition's QR code, pick their name and boat, photograph the fish on the brag mat and send it. There's no app to download and no account to make. See how QR code scoring works.

Does it work offshore with no phone signal?

Yes. Catches are saved on the phone with the time they were caught and send themselves when the phone is back in range. Read running a fishing competition with no signal.

How much does it cost?

Every club can try everything free for 3 months with no card. Clubs with up to 20 members stay free for good, and larger clubs pay a yearly fee with no per-member charges. See plans and pricing.

Bigger clubs pay $290 a year plus GST for the full season. When you take entry fees or memberships online, a small booking fee is shown upfront to the person paying, so the club keeps the full amount. See plans and pricing.
